Who We Are
Republic EDS was founded by Joseph Theriot, P.E. and Tyler Freese, P.E. who have a combined 15 years of experience in the Central Texas residential land development market. They are committed to providing a quality work product without losing sight of practical needs and common sense.

Republic EDS provides comprehensive services, saving the client time, money, and complications over the life of the project. What sets Republic EDS apart is understanding all aspects of development process from “pasture-to-pavement”. We work primarily for developers, home builders, and municipalities but are always looking for new opportunities.
Tyler Freese, P.E.
Tyler Freese graduated Texas A&M University with a BS in Civil Engineering in 2013. Following graduation, Mr. Freese took a job with a land development company in central Texas. Mr. Freese has exhaustive experience in zoning, platting, design, permitting, and delivery of single family residential subdivision projects. Tyler also has experience in Municipal Utility District bidding, design, and construction, FEMA floodplain studies, commercial site design, and industrial site design. Mr. Freese earned his Professional Engineers License in 2017. Tyler was born and raised in Wharton, Texas and spends his free time with family, hunting, or in the shop metal-working, wood-working, and working on antique cars.
Joseph Theriot, P.E.
Joseph Theriot graduated Texas A&M University with BS in Civil Engineering in 2010. Mr. Theriot has been working in land development for 9 years with projects all throughout central Texas. Mr. Theriot received his Professional Engineers Licenses in 2015. Joseph is well versed in all aspects of the residential land development process from land acquisition and feasibility, to entitlements, civil design, governmental approvals, construction supervision and support, and lot sales. He also has experience in hydrology and hydraulics, environmental site assessments, TxDOT widening projects, and roadway design. When not working, Joseph spends his time with family and enjoying the outdoors.
Luke Herring, E.I.T.
Luke Herring graduated Texas A&M University-Kingsville with a BS in Civil Engineering in 2018. Since graduation Mr. Herring has worked in land development on projects throughout central Texas. Mr. Herring has experience in feasibility, platting, civil design, governmental approvals, construction supervision and construction support. Luke was born and raised in Corpus Christi and enjoys visiting family and renovating his 120 year old home in his free time.
